Meet the co-founders

Like many good ideas, Board Evolution started over dinner.

As we exchanged stories from our experiences as Chairs, Trustees, Non-Executive Directors and consultants working across social care, a common theme emerged. We had both seen first-hand the difference that a high-performing board can make, not only to organisational performance, but ultimately to the quality of support and care people receive.

We also recognised a gap. While boards carry significant responsibility, many receive little structured development, support or independent challenge.

Board Evolution was created to address that gap: helping boards move beyond compliance and become confident, effective and influential leaders of their organisations.

Peter Kinsey

Peter has worked in health and social care for 40 years, 7 as an Executive Director in the NHS, 18 as the CEO of several large national care provider organisations and 6 as the Chair of both charities and private sector companies. He is an executive coach, a consultant and has an MBA, an MA in the Management of Community Care and is an NLP Master Practitioner.

Jane Brightman

Jane has worked in health, social care and education for 30 years. She was Assistant Director in the NHS England/ DHSC Digitising Social Care programme and Director of Workforce Strategy at Skills for Care - leading the development of the sector wide Workforce Strategy for adult social care. Jane is an experienced Trustee and NED and received an honourary doctorate for services to social care.
